An air crash that happened Friday, Sept 16 caught my interest. A WWII-era PT-51 Mustang Fighter plane, modified to reach speeds up to 500 miles per hour, lost control and Plunged into a VIP section at an air race in Reno nevada. Currently 10 are dead including the 74 year old stunt pilot, it was the nations deadliest air racing disaster.
One early report indicated that even though the crash was horrific, metal, flesh, blood, and body parts being sprayed every where; afterwards there was quiet and minimal hysteria. It seemed as though much of the the crowd knew what to do next.
The article went into further analyses. Many in the crowed were pilots, many with military background. And many were just family members with long histories of acquaintances in the flight industry.
Words associated with this tightly knit Air-Racing community, Well Trained, Developed, Survival Instincts, Education, Professionalism, Backgrounds in high stress situations.
The Bible tells us 2 Timothy 2:15- Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 4:2- Be ready in season and out of season....
Consider if you will; God has given us His Word in order that we should be, Well Trained, Developed, Educated, Professional, responding well to High Stress Situations, Efficient and having High Standards.
In season and out of season, when the opportunity presents itself. Whether one on one or in the midst of a disaster; we should speak and respond noticeably different than the world.
